Hello! I'm Mr Hatwood and have taught at Ysgol Esgob Morgan since September 2010. I trained at Bangor University and still enjoy going back to see friends. I was lucky enough to be in Bangor whilst BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend was there - the live acts were amazing and we were fortunate to have sun shine all weekend!
Ysgol Esgob Morgan is a fantastic place to work because of our culture, 'together we aim high' driving everything that we do. The staff, parents, friends and facilities that we have are a true strength of our school and our children are second to none.
My main curricular responsibilities are Mathematics, Geography and History. I also coordinate the school Eco activities. We have recently become the RHS School Gardening Team of the year and have had success across the board in terms of gardening and Eco - we're all very proud of this!
In addition to my curricular responsibilities I am the additional learning needs coordinator (ALNCo) responsible for special educational needs and more able and talented provision. We have superb links with many services in Denbighshire and across the region to provide excellent support for children with additional needs. As a part of the More Able and Talented steering group for Denbighshire, I am proud to help shape future direction and policy for the county.
Recently we've been working really hard to develop international links with other schools around the world - I've been very lucky to visit the Cayman Islands for ten days as part of an exchange, it was a once in a lifetime experience.
Gyda'n gilydd, ein nod uchel.
