Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderfully busy week we have had in school!

I was bursting with pride looking at the whole school performing their Christmas Concert at the Cathedral. It was great to see some children who were initially hesitant to take part perform so well. This is how the children learn to be confident and resilient by taking risks in a safe environment supported by their friends and adults in the school. This helps them develop lifelong skills and to show off their character!

We also held our annual Christmas Quiz and HotPot night. Huge thank you to James, Millie's in Year 6, Dad, who works for Denbighshire Melas service for providing us with such a delicious meal. He stepped in at the last minute and worked so hard.

The evening itself was its usually a happy event. It's one of the only nights of the year when I can happily, and very publicly, poke a bit of friendly fun at you all. Thank you to all who took it in the faith in which it was meant – it helps make the evening such a success.

All in, our fundraising efforts this term have raised just over £2000 . This is fantastic for our little school, especially when times are still tough for an awful lot of families.

Closing off the week, we may, or may not, have begun recording something for you. I can neither confirm nor deny!

Next week we have our Christmas Fayre / Bazaar – Please see the poster in this newsletter. Our choir is out and about Singing in the City, and we have our Christmas dinner on the 11th (a form should have come to your phones for this).

I have had so many lovely messages this week about our school. You have no idea how much these comments mean to us. Thank you for your support.
