Dear Parents and Guardians
Well... we're somehow already at the point where we're preparing for another school year! This week has been all about new beginnings. On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome our new Year 3 pupils for their transition day. It was wonderful to see them settling in so quickly and becoming part of our school family. At the same time, all of our children spent the day with their new teachers and classmates, giving everyone a chance to get to know their new surroundings before September. Meanwhile, our Year 6 pupils have been busy enjoying three transition days at Denbigh High School. We hope they've had a fantastic time, made some new friends and managed not to get lost too many times!
Next week is one of the highlights of the year – Sports Week! We have a fantastic range of activities planned and I'd encourage every child to throw themselves into as much as they can. It's not about being the fastest or the strongest; it's about having a go, trying something different and maybe even discovering a new passion.
The forecast is looking very warm again, so please help us keep everyone safe by sending children to school with a named water bottle, a sun hat and sun cream already applied before they arrive. Hopefully the sunshine sticks around... although this is North Wales, so having a light waterproof somewhere nearby is never the worst idea!
Have a fantastic weekend and we'll see you all for what promises to be a brilliant Sports Week.
