YEAR 5 & 6 NEED YOUR HELP

🏎️ Calling All Parent Pit Crews! Support Our STEM F1 Racing Team!
Your children are revving up for the F1 in Schools Primary Class competition, an exciting, cross-curricular STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) challenge!
🏁 The Challenge: Design, Build, Race, and Brand
The Primary Class competition is designed for students aged 9–11 working in small teams. They don't just build a fast car; they learn how a real-life F1 team operates!
What the Children Will Do:
-
Design and Make: Working from a standard chassis, the teams must design and create a miniature F1-style racing car body and wings using materials like card, focusing on aerodynamics to achieve the fastest speed.
-
Race: The cars are powered by a compressed air or CO2 cartridge and launched down a specialised track, where their speed is timed.
-
Team Identity & Presentation: They must act as a complete racing team, which involves:
-
Creating a professional team identity, including a name, logo, and uniforms.
-
Securing sponsorship and managing a budget.
-
Developing a Pit Display to showcase their work and brand.
-
Giving a formal verbal presentation to a panel of judges on their design, manufacturing process, and project management.
-
This challenge is a fantastic way to develop key skills like teamwork, problem-solving, marketing, and presentation.
