Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

Thank you to those of you who commented on the social media posts and messaged us at the school following on from the Estyn report. Like I said, we don’t do things FOR Estyn, but it's so lovely to have recognition for all the things we do for your children.

There is so much that goes on in the life of a school. Some of which you get to know about from your children when they tell you about their day. Most things, however, go unnoticed, and we are fine with it being that way. You entrust us with your children and that trust is not taken lightly by us. We care, and for those families with whom we have to work a little closer, they see how much effort we put in addition to the day-to-day teaching and learning which takes place.

We like to keep our staff as well-trained as possible and one of the best types of training is when we go out to look at good practice in other schools. One way of doing this is through doing Estyn inspections at other schools. Mrs Subacchi is out next Mon, Tues and Weds doing such a visit.

Also out on these days next week are the learners from Brenig and Moel Famau, who will be enjoying a visit to the outdoor education centre at Nant B H. Let's hope the weather stays as it is!

While the weather is warm, can you please make sure you have provided the type of protection you wish your children to have? This could be suncream, hats etc.

Thank you for your support in helping us with the healthy snacks at break times. This is much appreciated. No foods are banned, so if your child says they are not allowed something please contact me and I will happily explain the situation.

Have a wonderful weekend.
