That was a very brief half term!

As ever, we look to the future. The last term is always busy as well. We are doing our sports day a little differently this year. We have observed, as most schools in Wales have, that children are different since the school closures of 2020 and 2021. It is difficult for the majority of pupils to sustain interest for an entire school event. Therefore, we are going to do the lower juniors and upper juniors separately. This follows a pattern in a lot of our local schools. This will mean each child will have more participation and enjoyment. We will still do the competitive races for those who wish to take part. You will still be invited to come and watch.

Also, there has been great speculation as to who was successful in succeeding Mr Schrimshaw as class teacher. I am pleased to let you all know that Mr Morris will be returning to our school in September.

As a result, we, and a few teachers, have requested a move around. We will be having the class structure next year as follows:

Year 3 - Mr Morris

Year 4 - Mrs Drumm

Year 5/6 - Miss Martin

Year 5/6 - Mrs Subacchi

We will be working on how we mix our Years 5 and 6 after half term. We will speak to our colleagues in local schools to talk about their experience of mixing classes and find the way that works best for Esgob Morgan. I trust you will have faith in us getting it right, as we did this year.

Have a wonderful half term.

Kindest regards,

Mr Redgrave
