Dear Parents and Guardians

This week, in our collective worship, I told the story of Jonah and the Whale as we have been looking at spending time to reflect. Through the week the children have been discussing how important it is to have some down time, especially away from screens. We had a think about how busy our lives are and how we can be distracted from having a time out. Taking time to sit quietly has a positive physical and mental affect.

You may have seen, on social media, the report of a white van man and children. Rumours such as these, because of their scary sounding nature, spread like wildfire and I noticed the number of our parents “tagged” in the post. I will always take the police notice seriously and pass any information onwards. The fact is there was no enticing of children in to a white van and the reality is, more than likely, far more innocent than that which you may have read. We should ALWAYS be vigilant if we allow our children to walk to and from school. It is why we make sure we have your permission to allow them to walk home or to the car. We shouldn’t wait for a scary sounding thing to blast its way across the internet – be vigilant at all times!

Have a wonderful weekend. Mr Redgrave
