Dear Parents and Guardians
Welcome back—I hope this letter finds you well and happy after a wonderful Christmas break. It was a time to relax, enjoy with family, and make lovely memories. We loved hearing all about your festive adventures when the children returned.
Moel Famau news!
Dear Parents and Guardians
Thank you to all the pupils and families who were able to come to our Christmas Service. To see the Cathedral packed was so wonderful to see. I think sometimes, in the rush to do something at Christmas, we can lose sight of the story of the Nativity—so to be able to share that with some traditional carols, and celebrate our more traditional activities.
What also impressed me was how well they performed and how well they sat while other performed their songs. To say I was proud would be an understatement—especially as the run up to Christmas can be overwhelming for a lot of children. To see children who struggle with the concept of school performing in front of a live audience, to see children who haven’t learnt Welsh give it a go and sing “Nadolig Llawen” having only been here 4 days is the very essence of our wonderful school.
A great big thank you to the children. I am difficult to impress… but I was impressed last night.
One last thing. Tech is great when it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. We do our best to provide you with the very latest information—sometimes the tech lets us down. It may seem like we have different forms of communication—but really everything is through the website and app. Thank you, once again for all your understanding and support. Have a great weekend.

Dear Parents and Guardians
We are making our final preparations for the Christmas concert. The pupils and staff have been working hard on this—a traditional carol concert with a modern slant. We are looking forward to you joining.
I had 6 responses to my request to let us know whether your child (ren) will not be coming. So we should have a really great turn out. Thank you for your help in this. These are memories we hope the children take with them into their future.
We are rehearsing with them tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Cathedral. We will walk them up and bring them back to school in order for home time not to be disrupted. So you can pick up as normal on Wednesday the 11th of December at 3:15 from school.
Then on Thursday the 12th of December the children attend school as normal.
Our service starts at 6:30PM in the Cathedral and we would be really grateful if you could bring your children to the Cathedral for 6:15PM approx where there will be a member of staff there to help them to their seats and you can take your seats in the Cathedral.
We would like the children to be in their school uniform please.
The service should last around 45 mins. So, if you are not staying, your child (ren) can be collected from 7:15PM onwards but we do hope you will stay.
Our PTFA will be attending and serving hot drinks and mince pies.
I think this covers all bases—if there is something else you would like to know please do give us a call at the school.
